Welcome to my personal genealogy website.

My name is Sharyl & I live in Alaska, but my roots sink deep into the history of Allamakee Co. Iowa and the neighboring counties of Clayton & Winneshiek. On these pages, you will find my Northeast Iowa ancestors;  courageous men and women who settled in a beautiful land far from their places of birth.  They came by wagon-train and river-boat from Connecticut, Delaware, New York and Ohio. They came by ship, crossing from Norway, Scotland and Germany; each of them an individual, with a story to tell.  They came together with their uniqueness and became "my family".

Thanks for dropping in.  I am in the process of moving my entire website to this new site, a task that might take me forever at the rate I'm going now! I'll be retiring in about 5 years .... maybe then I'll have the time!
