| R. J. Alexander was
born in Linn Co., Iowa in 1852. Subsequently the family
removed to Cedar Co. He was educated at Cornell College,
and in 1876 commenced mercantile life as clerk, and
continued as such until 1879, when he formed the
partnership with Mr. Armstrong. pg. 465 |
