| Henry Bensch,
carpenter and builder, was born in Prussia in 1832, came
to America in 1852 and settled in Galena, Illinois, where
he remained until 1855. He then removed to Lansing and
since then has been engaged in the above business. He has
been a member of the County Board three years, and has
also been overseer of the poor for the past ten years. He
married Lena Fry, of Guttenburg, Germany; they have eight
children, Julia, Henry G., John, Edward, Charles, Emma,
Matilda, Mary. pg 478 |
