| George H. Bryant,
County Treasurer, was born in Otsego County, N.Y., in
1837, came west in 1863, and located in Lansing, and for
five years was employed as a clerk. He subsequently
engaged in the boot and shoe trade, which he continued
until elected to his present position. He married Martha
Dennis, a native of Indiana. They have one son and three
