| L. Ferris, farmer,
P.O. New Albin; born in Westchester county, N.Y., in
1831. He came to Iowa in 1857, and in the spring of 1858
settled on his present farm. He has been Justice of the
Peace eighteen years, and has held all the different
township offices. He has been twice married; his second
wife was Annie M. Callahan. He enlisted in Co. F., 6th
Iowa Cav., in 1864, and served until the close of the
