| NAGEL - BROCKLINGER | Waukon - At St. Patrick's Catholic church Wednesday morning, Mrs. Mary Brocklinger and Minert Nagel took marriage vows read by Rev. Vincent Simon, assistant pastor. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Baxter. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.J. Foley, Harpers Ferry and is a registered nurse. She is an assistant in the offices of Dr. Rominger and will continue her position. | NALI - SCHULTZ | Frieda Schultz and Magnus Nali were married on Tuesday morning at seven o'clock by the Rev. E. Schmidt. John Renzman and Tillie Nali were the attendants. | NARUM - GLYNN | The marriage of Miss
Marjorie Glynn and Edwin Narum of Madison, Wis., took
place at 5 p. m. last Friday at the home of the
brides mother, Mrs. Lena Glynn, in this city, Rev.
J.F. Kjorlaug, pastor of St. Johns Lutheran church
officiating. The ceremony was witnessed by relatives of
the contracting parties and was followed by a wedding
dinner. The young couple will make their home at Madison,
where Mr. Narum is employed, and have the good wishes of
friends. -- A beautiful wedding occurred at the home of Mrs. Lena Glynn of this city when Miss Marjorie Glynn, her daughter, was united in marriage with Edwin Narum, son of Edwin Narum, Sr. of Madison, Wis. Rev. P. F. Kjorlaug, pastor of the St. Johns Lutheran church, performed the ceremony. The bridal party took their places under an arch decorated with white carnations and ferns while the wedding march was played by Mrs. P. F. Kjorlaug. The rooms were decorated in cut flowers and ferns. The color scheme of Nile green and white was beautifully carried out throughout the home. The bride wore a gown of coral georgette and carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations and ferns. Miss Barbara Glynn, a cousin of the bride, of Reno, Minn., and Miss Clarice Leikvold of this city were the bridesmaids and were attired in gowns of pale pink and orchid georgette, respectively, and wore corsages of pink and white carnations and ferns. The groom wore a suit of conventional blue. The best men were Silas Glynn, a brother of the bride of this city, and Allan Krousie of Postville. They wore dark blue and brown suits, respectively. At 6:30 a sumptuous three course dinner was served. The bride is a gracious young lady and has been a successful teacher in this county for the past two years. | NICOLAY - DAUBENBERGER | At the M.E. parsonage in Madison, Wis., at four o'clock last Saturday afternoon, June 1st, occurred the marriage of Miss Jennie Daubenberger and Private Godfrey Nicolay, both of this city. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Daubenberger, a young lady of education and refinement, whose sunny disposition and comely appearance have drawn abut her an ever-widening circle of admiring friends. The groom is a son of Mr and Mrs. Joseph Nicolay, a young man of clean character and high standing, who but a few months ago closed out a successful business in the plumbing line here to enter his country's service and help make the world safe for democracy, being in the motor-mechanics branch of the service. With the myriad friends of this estimable young couple, the Herald joins in extending its kindliest well wishes, and when finally the swords shall be beaten into plow shares and a righteous peace shall pervade the world, may health, happiness and prosperity hover round the fireside of your home. ~Postville Herald, June 7, 1918 - from S. | NORDEN - SANDERS | The marriage of Miss Gertrude Sanders of Postville, and Dr. F. W. Norden of Waukon, destined to be one of Waukons most popular couple, will take place Thursday, April 10th at the home of the bride at 11 oclock in the morning. The ceremony will be performed by the Rev. P. F. Kjorlaug of St. Johns Lutheran church of Waukon, and members of the immediate family and close friends will be present. A wedding dinner will be served at the brides home to the wedding party, and the couple will then depart on a honeymoon trip to Chicago and points north. They will make their home in an apartment in the residence of John OBrien in Waukon. Miss Sanders is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Sanders of Postville, and after her graduation from Postville high school, she attended Coe college at Cedar Rapids, where she became a member of the Delta Delta sorority. She has recently been employed in the Citizens State Bank of Postville. Dr. Norden, who maintains an office for Optometry in Waukon, is a son of Mrs. Alma Norden of Jamestown, North Dakota, where he received his early education. He attended the North Dakota School of Science and later was graduated from the Northern Illinois School of Optometry at Chicago.
