TAYLOR - BARNES MARRIED. By Rev. S.T. McKIM, on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1885, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.H. BARNES, near Postville, their youngest daughter, Miss Lizzie to Mr. La Motte TAYLOR, of this place. Only relatives were present, who brought useful presents for the young people. TEFF - SCHULTE The marriage of Joseph H. Teff and Miss Lena Schulte was solemnized at the St. Mary's church on Tuesday morning, at nine o'clock, Rev. McCullough officiating. The attendants were Anna Schulte and Max Teff. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. B. Schulte, and was attended by a large party of relatives and friends of the contracting parties. Mr. and Mrs. Teff begin housekeeping at once in their cozy home in this city, attended by the ... THOMA - HARRINGTON DOUBLE WEDDING. At the residence of the bride's parents, In Postville, at high noon, on Thursday, March 30th, 1893, by Rev. LaRoy S. Hand, Mr. John M. THOMA and Miss Addie E. HARRINGTON. At the same time and place, by the same, Mr. Charles A. Harris and Miss Alida Harrington. All the parties were born in or near Postville, and many good wishes will follow them to their new homes. A pleasant company graced the festivities and the bounteous feast was enjoyed of all. On behalf of the Review we desire to extend congratulations and wish all parties represented above long life, happiness and success in all that makes human life worth living. The home and the associations that cluster around it comprise most of the happiness that the world affords; and just in proportion to the ability of our young friends to make home the pleasantest spot on earth will they succeed in carrying out the will of both God and man in instituting the sacred relation of marriage, which makes an ideal home possible. THORNTON - HENRY Waukon, Ia. - The marriage of Miss Edith Henry on Dec. 31 [1942] at Toronto, Canada, was revealed this week in an announcement by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Henry. On that date at a Presbyterian church in Toronto, Miss Henry became the bride of Lloyd Thornton. The bride took a course in diatetics at Iowa State college and the University of Iowa, later attending a New York school for dental assistants. She has since held a position in Toronto. THORNTON - STAHL Ross Thornton of North McGregor and Mary E. Stahl of Jefferson township were married at the Methodist parsonage in Waukon, Dec. 25. Ross is a son of Lon Thornton, formerly of Postville, and spent his boyhood days here. TITUS - WELSH Married. At the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Welsh, in Hardin, Iowa, on Wednesday, Feb. 23rd, 1898, by Rev. Botingham, pastor of the Baptist church of Rossville, Mr. Leonard J. Titus and Miss Clara E. Welsh.
They are an exceedingly popular young couple with a host of warm friends to wish them well.

TODD - SHEDD MARRIED. At the home of the bride's parents, in Postville, June 21st, 1893, Mr. George B. TODD and Miss Clara B. SHEDD, Rev. LaRoy S. HAND, officiating. A large company of friends was present to witness the nuptials, after which a bounteous supper was provided for the guests. The happy pair, followed by many good wishes, have gone to housekeeping in the house recently occupied by Mr. TAYLOR. Many costly and beautiful presents were left with the bride. TRANSAGLIA - SCHNEIDER Waukon, Ia. - Miss Harriett Schneider, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Schneider, was married last week to Capt. James Transaglia at Fort Riley, Kan., where the bride is serving as dietician at Whiteside hospital. Mrs. Transaglia received her degree as a dietician at the University of Iowa and interned at Valhall county hospital, New York. TROENDLE - BULMAN Lansing – The Marriage of Miss Betty Bulman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Bulman of Harpers Ferry, and Thomas Troendle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Troendle of Waukon, took place Saturday at Immaculate Conception church with the Rev. Henry Scherphoff officiating at the ceremony. The bride wore a gown of Chantilly lace over silk taffeta and a fingertip veil held by a pillbox hat. Her bouquet of yellow roses was centered with an orchid. Mrs. Robert Promnitz was bride’s matron of honor and Miss Marj Bulmen, and Miss Bonnie Troendle were bridesmaids. Gerald Troendle served as his brother’s best man James Mettille and Steven Troendle were groomsmen. Robert Promnitz and Robert Troendle ushered. A dinner was served at the Lansing city hall. The bride has been employed by the Farmers and Merchants Savings bank at Waukon and Mr. Troendle is employed at the Waukon Farmers’ Cooperative creamery. They will live in Waukon.

TRUNECEK - BEUCHER The marriage of Miss Helen E. Beucher of Postville, Ia., and Louis Trunecek of this city, which took place at West Union, Nov. 7, came as a surprise to their young friends. The ceremony was performed at the methodist parsonage by the Rev. Albert M. Billingsley. They were accompanied by the bride's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Otto J. Beucher of Postville, Ia. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P.J. Beucher of Postville, where she was born and reared, and graduated from the public schools at that place. The bridegrom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Trunecek of 1009 South Seventh street, and is associated with his father in the furniture business.
