During his pastorate the interior of the Church was renovated and a new barn built. The Volksblatt, a local German news paper in Postville featured the above photo of Pastor Kuhne. The article in German, and the translation are included on this website as a biography.

Father Francis McCullough

Born in Ireland in 1854,
ordained in 1886, assigned to Dorchester parish about 1888.
He established St. Mary's in
Hanover as an outmission & was responsible for building the church.
He died in 1920 and is buried in the cemetery at St. Mary's
