Submitters notes: The photo was sent to me by Frank Stachyra of Oak Park, Illinois.  He found it in the attic of his home after living there 30 years. He wrote: "I believe the first owner of the house, perhaps, when it was built in about 1907 or so, was John H. Jefferson, and his wife, Lillian B. Hays, who is listed in the Waukon Iowa class of 1899 as Lillian Hayes-Jefferson. The photo is of 9 youngsters, all dressed up, and posed in a group, like a school class photo. They look to range in age from about 10 to 15 or 17 years. Most of the names appear in the Waukon high school roster, class of 1899, and a couple in other years."

I'm thinking this photo could possibly be a confirmation picture & that Anna Bulman was their teacher, as she's not listed in the high school roster.
