Almost 1000 Years At Dinner, 1921
Over at Lansing recently, Capt. E.B. Bascom, observed his eighty-eighth birthday, by entertaining a company of Civil War veterans and old time residents of that city at a dinner at the Dudley House, and the combined ages of the twelve oldest guests totaled 998 years as follows:
