- I
want you to know how grateful I am for
the terrific job you and other volunteers
are doing. Among all the USGenWeb county
sites I use for my family research,
Allamakee is by far the best. If only ALL
the county sites were this good! Calvin
Augustus Robey and William Stinson Dunn
of Paint Creek were two of my
great-grandfathers, and though I have
never even been to Iowa, I feel sometimes
as if I'd visited Allamakee often--partly
because of my grandmother's and mother's
fond memories told to me in childhood,
and partly because of my family
research....... from Barbara in
Massachusetts
- Having
been through many many websites over the
course of seeking information, I can tell
you that the Allamakee County site
sparkles because of the work done by
people who are already passed and by
people who nurture the present. You guys
are doing a fantastic job.........Harold
