The only identified man in this photo is Albert "Pete" Loeseke, who is standing at the far left. Albert served with the "Rainbow Division".
If you can identify any of the others, please notify the Allamakee co. coordinator. Additional information about what became of the men, which outfits they served with, tour of duty, etc.

-notes from the contributor: "Albert Loeseke was my
mother's brother, born and raised in Guttenberg, Clayton co.
Iowa. I remember him, he was one of my boyhood heroes...we
had his army uniform in our spare-room closet. . .I tried it on
many times (gas mask, helmet and all) fought many
Germans. Albert was, I believe a button-cutter when he was
drafted, and assume he was plying his trade in Lansing at the
time.
