Storck Cemetery Sec 22 NW/NW, Jefferson Twp |
Phillip Storck |

-Jim's comments: "I am a great-great-grandson of Georg and
Brigitta (Bridget) Storck. They arrived USA in the late 1840's
and settled in Clayton County. According to family records
they had a farm on the Turkey River about 5 miles South
East of Guttenberg. They are listed incorrectly in the 1850
census as Stocks, but in the 1856 census they are Storcks.
Buried on this farm are the father Georg and son Phillip. Georg
died before 1856 and Phillip soon after. I believe from the
census records this area is in Jefferson township.
Information I have (year unknown), a new house was built on that
property and the grave stones of the two mentioned above were in
the basement of that house and at that time some of the family
wanted to take the stones to an Old Stone Church. As I understand
it, the graves are sill in the original spot, only the markers
were moved. I hope this helps to identify this cemetery and is of
some help."

"I ran across a J. Geo. Stock listed for
Stick Cemetery, Jefferson Twp. I think this is for the
Storck cemetery. The dates were 1810 -1851."
